Below is a list of allowances that may be available to you to assist with the cost of your care. This list is not exhaustive and you should contact your local Social Services department or benefits office for further guidance.

Carers Allowance

Carers Allowance is a benefit to help people who look after someone who is disabled. You do not have to be related to, or live with, the person you care for.

Independent Living Fund

The Independent Living (1993) Fund is designed to help you, if you are disabled, to live independently at home rather than in residential care. You can use payments from the fund to employ people to give you personal and domestic care in your home.
